All volunteers working directly with campers are required to complete the USTA Safe Coach certification prior to the start of camp. This is a free online training that covers safe play, abuse prevention, and best practices for working with youth.

Volunteer Agreement

1. Commitment: I commit to arriving on time and fulfilling my volunteer duties for the days I have indicated. I understand that the campers and staff are counting on me.

2. Code of Conduct: I agree to treat all campers, families, and staff with respect and kindness. I will maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment at all times. Inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the program.

3. USTA Safe Coach Certification: I understand that I am required to complete the USTA Safe Coach certification before working directly with campers. I agree to complete this prior to the start of camp.

4. Mandated Reporter: I understand that under South Carolina law, anyone working with minors is a mandated reporter and is legally required to report any suspected child abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the appropriate authorities immediately. I agree to comply with this obligation during my time volunteering with Beyond the Baseline.

5. Social Media Policy: I agree not to post any photos, videos, or identifying information about campers on my personal social media accounts or any other public platform without the express written consent of Beyond the Baseline and the child's parent or guardian. This policy exists to protect the privacy and safety of all campers.

6. Drug, Alcohol & Weapons Free: I agree to arrive and remain completely free of alcohol, drugs, and any impairing substances during all camp hours and volunteer activities. I also agree not to bring any weapons or dangerous items of any kind onto camp grounds. Any volunteer found to be in violation of this policy will be immediately removed from the program and authorities will be contacted if necessary.

7. Right to Remove: I understand that Beyond the Baseline reserves the right to remove any volunteer from the program at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to violations of this agreement, inappropriate conduct, or any behavior deemed harmful to campers, staff, or the program.

8. Liability: I volunteer at my own risk and release Beyond the Baseline and its organizers from any liability for injury or loss during my volunteer service.

9. Photo Release: I consent to being photographed or filmed during camp activities for use in promotional materials and social media.

10. Confidentiality: I agree to keep any personal information about campers and their families confidential.
